There are two main types of lamps - table lamps and floor lamps. Based on which room the lamp will be placed, people need to consider size, style, and brightness of a lamp. Many people will buy lamps without measuring the area it will go into. Buyers need to take measurements first without depending on their skills at eyeballing measurements.
When you total up all of the costs together, the numbers are staggering. In a groundbreaking study by Florida Atlantic University's physics department, researchers discovered that when you combine all residential, commercial, and municipal external lighting together, the U.S. spends about $11.6 billion annually. Of that figure, approximately 30% is what they call "wasted lighting" ($3,487,306,003)!
A crystal table lamp can be the centerpiece of not only your table but the whole room as well. There are so many designs that you can choose from - a modern design, antique design, or even the retro look. While not terribly popular yet, some manufacturers also make battery powered table lamps to help save energy. I have done some extensive research at my favorite online retailer - Amazon.com - and picked out some of my favorite table lamps that I would like to show.
Now this crystal table lamp with a contemporary crystal-like shade is very unique and modern. It certainly is the complete opposite of the antique lamps we just looked at above! This lamp is has a chandelier style lighting from the 3 glass "lamp shades". It has a slim stem and a round base to give it plenty of support. It is made of acrylic and steel, and the manufacturer says it is easy to assemble. It uses normal 40-watt chandelier bulbs which you should be able to get at any hardware store. I am not sure exactly what kind of lighting this lamp provides, but it sure is one of the most unique, elegant, and contemporary table lamps available!
