There is one thing you must know before starting the operation, if you are going to exchange a hanging lamp for a lamp which is in contact with the ceiling you must first calculate the height you want to give it and measure the amount of extra wire you will need plus the length of chain you will add. These have to be on hand before you start your work. On the other hand if you are going to remove a hanging lamp and exchange it for a ceiling-fixed lamp you will not need anything else than what we already have.
Now this crystal table lamp with a contemporary crystal-like shade is very unique and modern. It certainly is the complete opposite of the antique lamps we just looked at above! This lamp is has a chandelier style lighting from the 3 glass "lamp shades". It has a slim stem and a round base to give it plenty of support. It is made of acrylic and steel, and the manufacturer says it is easy to assemble. It uses normal 40-watt chandelier bulbs which you should be able to get at any hardware store. I am not sure exactly what kind of lighting this lamp provides, but it sure is one of the most unique, elegant, and contemporary table lamps available!
