If you already have a perfectly serviceable bed, you may not want to go the expense of purchasing a whole new bed. In this case it is possible to buy the sleigh design headboard only - and perhaps also the footboard. Make sure the width is the same as your bed or existing headboard, and it is generally fairly easy to switch headboards and give your bed a brand new look. If you change the headboard and footboard, the type and finish of the wood you choose shouldn't matter. You should be able to use anything you like.
At the heart of any princess's bedroom, of course, is her bed. It's where she gets her beauty rest. And so it must be as beautiful as she is, and as comfortable as they both are beautiful. A drawbridge can lead out from these castle beds across a soft blue area rug as the moat, into a vast kingdom painted as a mural on her four walls.

In the way of other design elements, her favorite photos, personal artwork, and any accolades or awards she's earned can all be placed prominently at her eye level so she can always be reminded of how much of a treasure she is.
