One solution to the bedding dilemma is to decide on a theme. Many parents today know the sex of the child before birth and may choose certain colors based on this. Some remember a favorite childhood character, such as Winnie the Pooh, and base the bedding and room colors around it. Other influences to bedding choice can be family heirlooms, memorabilia, rock and roll bands, sports and sports teams, or possibly grade school ABCs or numbers.
Most bedroom furniture stores do not offer a sleigh bed for sale in their range, although it might be worth checking out companies such as The Custom Shoppe and Taylor King and asking if they do so. The Kingston range by Canal Dover furniture contains a beautiful slatted bed in the sleigh style, but is not referred to as such. However, if you are genuinely seeking a sleigh bed for sale rather than any other style, it is certainly worth asking the question.
Here are some ideas for beds for children that might go some way towards easing the situation. You have a choice between three fundamental types of bed: bunk beds, single beds and doubles. Your choice may be influenced by the space available in the bedroom, and also by how many rooms you have and the children you have.
The great thing about bedding is that it is just for the bed and for sleeping. Consider that most children sleep with their eyes closed and will not be focusing on the bedding.... Additionally most parents I know don't leave their awake children in their beds long enough to find the bedding colors soothing or stimulating.
