Beds for children tend to change as they age, so why are so many parents surprised when their kids ask them for new furniture once they reach that certain age? Maybe the twins no longer want to share a double bed, and the time comes when brother and sister not only need new bedroom furniture, but also need separate rooms!
For young children it's important for them to feel safe and secure in their bedroom and in particular, in their bed while they are sleeping. Studies have shown that children who sleep in children's sized twin beds are much more likely to get a better nights sleep.
The bed takes its name from its basic shape, being similar to that of a traditional sleigh. They come in two basic forms: one with the headboard curving backward and the footboard curving forwards, away from the bed, and the other with no footboard, just the backwards curving headboard.
There comes a time when all of us outgrow our old bedding and need a change. Kids are almost notorious for going through bedding rapidly. When choosing bedding for kids, you want something that they'll enjoy and be comfortable. You also want something that will last as long as possible. It's easy to find the bedding you've been looking for when you follow a few guidelines.
