Baby's bedding should be pleasing to the parents. Mom and dad are going to be spending the most time looking around the room while changing diapers, dressing baby, or feeding and rocking baby. Baby will not care about the color scheme unless it is upsetting to mom or dad. If during the midnight feeding, dad's heart rate is up because he can't stand blue and red plaid, it is time to consider a new bedding theme. Moms usually have the most influence in choosing, so make sure you are kind to dad as these decisions are made.
The bed takes its name from its basic shape, being similar to that of a traditional sleigh. They come in two basic forms: one with the headboard curving backward and the footboard curving forwards, away from the bed, and the other with no footboard, just the backwards curving headboard.
In the way of other accessories, large stuffed animals and fairy tale characters will provide her with subjects to rule over and attendants to serve her whims (both of which are roles any posh princess's parent would be happy no doubt to have taken off their shoulders for a while). In the way of other design elements, her favorite photos, personal artwork, and any accolades or awards she's earned can all be placed prominently at her eye level so she can always be reminded of how much of a treasure she is.
Personal preference is the key. Don't be afraid to choose your favorite color palette for your baby's room. You may incorporate your combined love for rock and roll or punk rock and express it baby-style. The most unique baby rooms and bedding reflect the parent's personal flair.
